Eric A. Jiminez

The office of the City Administrator is the chief administrative officer of the City of Poteet and is responsible to the City Council for the proper administration of all affairs of the City.  The City Administrator is responsible for all City personnel and is the executive leadership for all municipal services for the City of Poteet.  Mr. Jiminez was appointed as the City Administrator of the City of Poteet, effective August 2017.

Mr. Jiminez has a Master of Public Administration from Wayland Baptist University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a specialization in Criminal Justice from there as well.  Mr. Jiminez experience, also includes, eighteen and half years as a law enforcement professional and he spent the majority of his career as a leader in his police organization.  Mr. Jiminez is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and also a graduate from the Bill Blackwood LEMIT Leadership Command College from Sam Houston State University.  Mr. Jiminez is also a member of the Texas City Manager's Association.
